Choosing the paper stock of your print is important. With a wide range of colours, weights and textures, it can be an exciting task for a designer, but it’s nothing in comparison to the excitement of specialist print finishes. Print finishing in general refers to what happens to the paper once it is printed to get to the end result

We Know Print would like to receive all files as PDFs. Other files, such as JPEGs are compressed and therefore are not as high-res as a PDF file. We will contact you directly if we need you to provide us with the original document for quality purposes.
Tips on bleed and crop marks are available in the template options.
All artwork should be provided to We Know Print in CMYK at 300dpi (or as high as possible). It’s important to avoid using thin borders around the artwork where possible. If you do require a border for your work, please ensure it’s of 5mm thickness all round.
We can offer advice on what types of paper will work best for your artwork. We know the difference between a gloss and uncoated finish and we’re always on hand to make suggestions. The quality of our paper is important to us and as a result, we only offer professional-grade GF Smith paper to our clients.
As a general rule, We Know Print suggest around 250gsm for brochures, 170gsm for flyers, 130gsm for letterheads and 350gsm for business cards. Please come to us with your individual requirements and we can offer a solution to fit your needs and budget.
